County Board Chair Admits Worry At Retaining Young Players Due To Restrictions

Clare’s County Board chair admits retaining young players in their late teens and early 20s will be a worry if games continue to be delayed.

Intercounty action will not be permitted until after Easter at the earliest, with club action requiring a significant decline in COVID cases to proceed later this year’s under the government’s revised roadmap.

Under 20 competitions will likely be run here this year, before reverting to separate under 19 and under 21 competitions from 2022 onwards.
