The chairman of Clare GAA Joe Cooney says the board want Colm Collins to continue in his role as Clare Senior Football manager.

The Kilmihil native has completed a 4 year team in charge of the senior side, guiding the Banner to Division Two of the National League and reaching the business end of the All Ireland championship.

It’s understood the current squad have expressed their desire for Collins to remain in charge, while the future of his backroom team is also not yet known.

Clare FM analyst Joe Garry says while it’s disappointing that the on field season has come to an end, it’s vital that the current management are retained to further develop Clare football.
