Cooney Disappointed As Clare Withdraw From Munster Junior Football Championship

Clare GAA has confirmed the county will not be entering the 2017 Munster Junior Football Championship.

Delegates at last nights meeting voted in favour of abstaining from the competition, after enquiries found that a lack of interest in taking part from both management and players.

The meeting also heard that Clare will not be involved in the Munster intermedidate hurling championship, a competition in which the Banner are the defending champions, with a decision instead to be taken about entering an U25 tournament.
