Clare’s point-to-point community are expressing concerns about the future of the sport, which is now postponed indefinitely.

Point-to-point racing was not included in the government’s list of elite sports in the latest COVID-19 guidelines, with action not resuming until further notice.

Horse racing is continuing under level five of the government’s road map, with point-to-point action seen as the training ground for racing under rules for both horses and jockeys.
