A former Clare football selector feels it’s vital as many of the squad as possible stay with the senior panel for the coming year.
Colm Collins has already lost veteran goalkeeper Joe Hayes to retirement, but the future of players such as Martin McMahon and Gordon Kelly are still to be decided.
A number of the minor and U21 squad are currently training with the seniors on the extended panel, with the year getting underway on December 30th with a McGrath Cup tie against Waterford.
