Clare football boss Colm Collins feels the squad are enjoying competing at a high level in National Football League.

Victory over Down sees the Banner unbeaten so far in their Division Two campaign, picking up three points from the opening two games.

Clare led by 2-7 to 0-3 at half time, but managed just 0-4 after the restart.

Collins says it something they will have to work on ahead of a trip to Galway in two weeks time.

Meanwhile Clare could be without Sean Collins for that game after the Cratloe man came off in the second half with a hamstring problem.

Elsewhere in Division 2, Galway overcame Fermangh, Kildare defeated Cork and Meath were comfortable winners over Derry.
