Clare’s Footballers Have Shown Ability To Silence Critics – Garry

Clare’s Footballers are preparing for a trip to Roscommon this weekend as they look to take back-to-back league victories.

They had to fight to overcome a visiting Kildare side last Sunday in the second round and won by a point – an important victory as the Banner went down to Westmeath in the opening round.

Kildare were considered favourites for the encounter – and Clare boss Colm Collins says it silences the teams’ critics who have been tipping them to be relegated for several seasons now.

Clare FM football analyst Joe Garry has echoed Collins’ claims, saying the county’s footballers have shown they’ll fight ‘tooth and nail’ to retain their Division 2 status:

Roscommon welcome Clare to Dr Hyde Park in Round 3 of the league this Sunday – and we’ve live commentary here on Clare FM in association with Jones’ Supervalu Miltown Malbay and Tubridy’s Bar and Restaurant, Doonbeg.
