Clare’s Footballers are preparing for a trip to Roscommon this weekend as they look to take back-to-back league victories.

They had to fight to overcome a visiting Kildare side last Sunday in the second round and won by a point – an important victory as the Banner went down to Westmeath in the opening round.

Kildare were considered favourites for the encounter – and Clare boss Colm Collins says it silences the teams’ critics who have been tipping them to be relegated for several seasons now.
