Clare’s Under-20 Hurling Manager Hopeful of “Bright Future” For Players

The manager of the Clare Under-20 hurlers insists there is a bright future for his players, despite them losing at the first hurdle in this year’s Munster Championship.

Despite a strong start and a four point lead at half time, the Banner failed to topple Tipperary in Semple Stadium last night, with the reigning All Ireland Champions winning 1-19 to 0-12 in the end.

Among those missing were Captain Aidan McCarthy and frontman Shane Meehan, and while they were missed, manager Sean Doyle had nothing but praise for their replacements.
