Clare Youth Teams To Take Part In Féile na nGael

Underage teams from clubs throughout Clare will take part in Féile na nGael this weekend.

The action takes place in the South-East, and begins today.

In Division 1 of the camogie competiton, Scariff-Ogonnelloe will represent Clare in this the 47th edition of the national competition which will be held in Kilkenny, Carlow and Wexford.

The East Clare side will be hosted by Thomastown in Kilkenny, and face their hosts as well as Tipperary’s Knocavill and another Kilkenny side, Piltown, on Saturday and Sunday.

Clarecastle will be in Division 3 where they take on Wexford pair Bannow/Ballynitty and Oylegate/Glenbrien, as well as Portlaoise.

Three hurling teams are travelling to the competition, meanwhile,

In Division 1, Sixmilebridge face Kilkenny sides James Stephens and Dicksboro, as well as Galway Champions Craughwell.

In Division 3, Eire Og also face Galway and Kilkenny opposition in Graignamanagh, Erin’s Own and Ardrahan while in Division 8 Clonlara go up against Kilkenny’s Carrickshock and Conahy Shamrocks, as well as Limerick’s Hospital/Herbertstown.

Hurling sides from Ballyea, Clooney-Quin and Clarecastle and camogie teams from Inagh Kilnamona, Kilkishen/Bodyke and St Josephs will all represent Clare at Regional Féile Tournaments.

The regional competitions begin tomorrow, and the national competition gets underway today.
