Clare Cruise Past Cats In National Hurling League

Clare have beaten Kilkenny by 0-13 in the National Hurling League.

Goals in either half from Aaron Cunningham & Aron Shanagher helped the Banner to a 2-19 to 0-12 win in Cusack Park.

Donal Touhy was also the hero as he saved TJ Reid’s second half penalty, which would have seen just four between the sides with 10 minutes to play.

Clare led by 1-9 to 0-8 at the break, and outscored the Cats by 1-10 to 0-4 in the second period.

In Division 1B, Davy Fitzgerald’s Wexford all but secured their place in the top tier after hitting the last five points of the game to beat Galway by 1-21 to 3-13.

Ronan Lynch scored three second half goals for Limerick as they beat Kerry by 6-21 to 3-8 at the Gaelic Grounds.
