Clare SHC Final Goes To Replay After Thrilling Draw

The Clare Senior Hurling Championship final has gone to replay after a thrilling draw between Sixmilebridge and Clooney/Quin in Cusack Park this evening.

The two sides kept each other in check for most of the game, with Ronan O’Donnell’s 18th minute goal giving Clooney/Quin a five point lead – the largest gap to separate the sides throughout the sixty minutes.

A string of points from the Bridge left them three points behind – a deficit they recovered five minutes into the second half.

The rest of the game was a tense affair as each team countered the score before. Seadhna Morey slotted a point over on the sixtieth minute to give the Bridge the edge for the first time, only for Clooney/Quin Captain Peter Duggan to equalise in the last play of the game.

The final score there was Clooney/Quin 1-16, Sixmilebridge 0-19.
