Clare SFC semi final pairings decided

The second semi final pairing for the Clare Senior Football Championship was decided this weekend.

Eire Óg will take on Kilmurry Ibrickane, in what is a repeat of last years quarter final, which the Townies won.

It's after Kilmurry overcame the challenge of Clondegad, with goals from Mark McCarthy and Keelan Sexton helping the Bricks to a 2-10 to 1-11 win.

Eire Og were also pushed all the way by Miltown, eventually sealing a 2-13 to 3-7 win.

It was 2-5 to 1-5 in favour of the Townies at half time, with Davy O'Halloran and Graham Glynn goals for Eire Óg, and Michael Malone for Miltown.

Eoin Cleary and Kieran Malone struck for two more Miltown goals inside the opening 10 minutes of the second half, and with five minutes to go, just a point seperated the sides.

Eire Óg dug deep, with two late points ensuring their progression.

Cratloe and Cooraclare contest the other semi final.
