Clare set to have home advantage against Limerick

Clare will have home advantage for their Munster senior semi final with Limerick on the 7th of June but it is not yet clear if Cusack Park will be ready to host the game.

Redevelopment work at the stadium has been on going for the last number of months in preparation for the opening championship game next month with the North stand having been demolished.

However, the new stand which is about to replace the Northern stand is still uncovered with just 2 weeks to get the stadium ready for the game with Limerick.

Elsewhere, Conor Whelan is in a race to prove his fitness for that game in 2 weeks after he played 20 minutes for the senior side in their defeat to Laois over the weekend.

The Clare captain is recovering from a long standing knee injury but played 20 minutes against the Lenister outfit boosting Frank Doherty’s options ahead of the game with Limerick.

Timmy Ryan also made a re apperance for Clare in the game  with  the team likely to be playing another challenge game this week.
