Clare are into the Munster Senior Hurling Championship final for the first time since 2008, after they edged a five-goal thriller against Limerick in Semple Stadium in Thurles to win 3-17 to 2-16.

Clare got off to an excellent start which included a brace of goals from Shane O’Donnell, but then David Dempsey raised a green flag for the Treaty County. Conor McGrath scored the third goal for the Banner in the second half, with a fine Kyle Hayes three-pointer a mere consolation for John Kiely’s Limerick side.

Clare will face either Cork or Waterford in the final.
