Clare minors hungry for more success

 The Clare minor hurling management have said they are not satisfied with having just claimed the county’s first minor title since 1989.

The county side overcame Waterford yesterday in Thurles by 1-16 to 1-11 to claim only the county’s third ever provincial title at minor

The game marked an incredible turnaround for the side having been beaten by Waterford by 8 points  in their opening Munster encounter in April.

Gerry O Connor says the current management can’t take all the credit

Meanwhile Clare semior hurling Boss Ger O Loughlin has said a lot of hard work will be needed if Clare are to compete at the top level of inter county hurling over the coming years.

His comments follow Saturday’s All Ireland hurling qualifer defeat to Dublin in Croke  Park.

O Loughlin told Clare Fm that prepartions for next year will need to start this winter.
