Clare Minors Fall Short In Spirited Munster Final Defeat

Clare’s minor footballers came up short in their efforts to win a Munster title last night.

Two Kerry goals in the opening half proved crucial, with the Kingdom eventually running out 2-14 to 1-7 winners at the LIT Gaelic Grounds.

Wolfe Tones club man Craig Riordan got the Banner’s only goal inside the last ten minutes, with Diarmuid Fahy, Brendan Rouine and Michael Nash also contributing to the scoreboard.

It ends Dermot Coughlan’s side’s campaign for 2020, with last night’s defeat being preceded by comprehensive victories over Limerick and Tipperary.

Speaking after the game, Clare FM analyst Joe Garry backed members of the side to progress onwards to play for Clare at Under-20 and Senior levels.
