It’s now just over 48 hours until Clare’s All Ireland Quarter Final clash with Waterford as the Banner undergo their final preparations for the tie.

It’s another 7 day turnaround for Brian Lohan’s side, who came into last weekend’s victory over Wexford with just six days preparation following their first round qualifier win over Laois.

A date in Croke Park with either Munster champions Limerick or Leinster champions Kilkenny awaits Clare should they progress.

Team news is expected tomorrow, with captain David McInerney set to return to the starting 15 after serving his one match suspension and sitting out the game with Wexford.

Clare selector James Moran says they’re raring to go on Saturday, and the panel are coping well with the quick turnarounds this year.

Meanwhile, a former Waterford All-Star says Saturday’s encounter could come down to who has the better bench to choose from.

Eoin Murphy, who gave 10 years service to the Deise between 2001 and 2011, is confident Liam Cahill’s charges have what it takes to make a game of it at the weekend.

Throw-in for that match in Páirc Uí Chaoimh is on Saturday at 3:45 and we’ll have live coverage here on Clare FM with Matt Waters Clare Fruit & Veg Market, Turnpike Road, and Geraghty’s Spar & Off-License, Turnpike, Ennis.
