A Sophie O’Callaghan goal and five points from Niamh Mulcahy enabled Limerick to chisel out a five-point victory, 1-14 to 0-10 over Clare in their Littlewoods Ireland Camogie League Division 1 Group 2 clash.

The game had been level 0-7 apiece at the break, with Clare’s chief markswoman being Amy Keating, but Limerick took control of the game after 39 minutes when O’Callaghan scored her goal after a goalmouth scramble.

The defeat is Clare’s second loss in three outings.
