Clare Lifesavers Shine In National Championships

Clare lifesaving teams are celebrating 10 new Irish records following the National Championships at UL.

County Clare swept the board at the National Stillwater Lifesaving Championships, where almost 200 of Ireland’s top lifeguards took part.

Best individual performances were demonstrated by world record holder Clare’s Norma Cahill who smashed two National records in the 200 metre obstacle swim and the women’s 200 metre Superlifesaver.
