Clare Ladies Footballers Aiming To Improve At Both Ends Of Field Ahead Of Laois Clash

Clare’s ladies football boss says his side will be working to improve at both ends of the field this week ahead of Sunday’s clash with Laois.

James Murrihy’s side fell short in their first championship outing, falling to Kildare despite having led for much of the game.

Two defensive errors proved costly as Kildare took their goal chances, running out two point winners.

It means Clare need to beat Laois this weekend and Sligo on the last matchday of the group to stand any chance of reaching the semi finals.

Boss James Murrihy says the side has to learn to take its chances in front of goal, as well as tighten things up at the back.
