Clare’s footballers have taken a tough defeat to Roscommon in the third round of the Allianz National Football League.
Colm Collins’ went scoreless in the first half as a breeze helped Roscommon to a six point half-time lead.
With the aid of that wind in the second half Clare scored four points – but were reduced to fourteen after Ciaran Russel was shown the black card.

The home side managed to successfully hold the Banner’s footballers back – and a late Roscommon goal was the killer for Clare.
