It was a busy evening of action in the Clare Cup Division 1A

Sixmilebridge v Clarecastle

Sixmilebridge made it five wins from five with a comfortable 2-15 to 1-15 win over Clarecastle.

First half strikes from Brian Carey and Shane Golden put them in the driving seat, with a Bobby Duggan penalty giving the Magpies their green flag.

Clarecastle staged a stirring comeback in the second period, but the Bridge held out to maintain their 100% record.

Cratloe v Clonlara

Clonlara got the better of Cratloe in their derby battle.

A fortutious goal for Clonlara saw them lead 1-8 to 1-5 after the opening 30 minutes, with David O'Brien the Cratloe goalscorer.

The Sean Stack trained Clonlara struck for two more goals through Cormac O'Donovan, and Ciaran Downey, and finished the game strongly to claim a 15 point win.

 

Feakle claimed bragging rights in their east Clare derby with O'Callaghans Mills, winning by 2-10 to 1-11

They led 2-6 to 0-5 at half time, with the goals coming from Martin Daly and Colin Nelson.

The Mills staged a comeback in the second half, but Feakle held out to win by two.

Clooney/Quin v Inagh/Kilnamona

Inagh/Kilnamona moved up to third in the table with a 2-9 to 1-8 win over Clooney/Quin.

At the break, Inagh/Kilnamona led 1-5 to 0-6, thanks to a David Fitzgerald strike just before the half time whistle.

They struck for a second goal after the restart through Jason McCarthy, with Peter Duggans late strike for Clooney/Quin not enough to change the outcome.

 

 

Meanwhile in Division 1B,

Eire Óg were 1-9 to 1-5 winners over Scariff, while Tubber beat Wolfe Tones 2-11 to 0-12

Tulla got the better of Broadford, winning by 2-10 to 0-8
