Clare Continue Hurling League Winning Ways Against Kilkenny

Clare have continued winning ways in the National Hurling League as they took victory over Kilkenny this afternoon.

Clare made the trip to Nowlan Park to face Kilkenny in the second round of this year’s league.

Two first half goals – a seventh minute shot from Shane O’Donnell and a nineteenth minute David Reidy effort – gave the Banner a healthy 2-12 to 1-7 in the home side.

The second half proved more competitive for Clare as Kilkenny recovered to within two points as the game reached injury time.

Clare held out and the final point of the game pushed the score to a three point difference – Clare winning on a 2-18 to 1-18 scoreline.
