Clare Camogie Suffers Defeat In Opening Championship Game

Clare’s camogie team have lost their first game in the 2017 All-Ireland championship campaign.

The Banner ladies travelled to Parnells GAA in Coolock to face Dublin in what was the first of four games in the group stages.

Despite leading by four points at the half time whistle, Clare were overcome by the Dubs as the second half progressed.

Two Dublin goals towards the end of the game helped the Blues emerge victorious on a final scoreline of 3-11 to Clare’s 1-14.

Next up for Clare is the second group game against Waterford, at home in Cusack Park next Saturday at 2.30pm.
