Clare Camogie Left Disappointed At Refusal By Clare GAA To Accomodate Cusack Park Double Header

The manager of the Clare Camogie squad Patricia O’Grady is expressing disappointment that Clare GAA has refused a request to host a double header of camogie and hurling on Sunday.

The Banner’s flagship camogie side are due to play Meath in the penultimate round of the National League and had requested to play the game in Cusack Park as the curtain raiser to the senior hurlers clash with Cork.

However, their call has not been granted, and it’s understood that the recent weather, and the potential impact on the pitch of holding two games, has been cited as the reason.

The game will now go ahead in Ogonnelloe on Sunday at 2pm.
