Whitegate’s continued in their division 2 league conquest by taking on Eire Og in wet and windy conditions in Eire Og, Ennis on Saturday 13th April, 2019. Eire Og were first to leap from the traps when they quickly scored their first point.
They continued in this manner adding a further 2 points to their tally before Whitegate’s Greta Hickey got the the first score for Whitegate. Hickey added a further point as did Triona Kelly. Eire Og answered with a point of their own, and it was Eire Og that led by 0-4 to Whitegates 0-3 at half time.
In the second half an array of points from Eire Og stretched their lead even further before Whitegate added a point from Amber Nolan. Soon after a free from Hickey which dropped short was struck to the back of the net by Triona Kelly.
Eire Og continued to capitalise on their score and Greta Hickey finishing with the last point of the day but this was too late as Eire Og were the winners at full time with a scoreline of Whitegate 1-05 and Eire Og 0-11
