Clare’s Camogie Championship campaign came to an end with defeat to Galway in Cusack Park on Saturday evening.

Both team saw the white flag eleven times, but it was a Rebecca Hennelly penalty and a soft goal in the second half which gave Galway an advantage over the Banner at full time.

Clare Captain Chloe Morey came close to equaling the sides as the final whistle loomed but a powerful shot from nearer mid-field was blocked by Sarah Healy.
