Clare’s minor football manager claims they followed Tipperary’s lead in a low scoring first half of their Munster championship meeting.

The Banner are guaranteed a Munster Phase 1 Final appearance in May after beating their provincial rivals but they didn’t score for 29 minutes before Eoin Talty’s goal.

With the Premier County cutting out space to Clare’s captain Shane Meehan, their opponents responded in kind but things opened up before the break.

Boss Dermot Coughlan says they expected Tipperary’s game plan and planned accordingly.
