Clancy Says Clare Minor Footballers Faced Tough Challenge

Clare’s Minor Football boss says his side was up against it in today’s Munster Minor Football Final.

Seamus Clancy’ was speaking after Kerry overwhelmed the Banner in Fitzgerald Park this afternoon.

Clare was the first side to register a score – but soon lost that advantage to Kerry who led into half time 10 points to 2.

The Saffron and Blues scored once in the second half while the Kingdom extended their lead and scored two injury time goals to finish the game 2-21 to the Banner’s three points.

Speaking to Clare FM’s Derrick Lynch after the game, Clancy says his side were facing a huge challenge:
