We Can Stand Behind Semi-Final Win Says O’Connor

Clare’s senior hurling captain says the team can stand behind their Munster semi-final win over Limerick after a bad run of championships.

The Banner emerged victorious in Thurles at the weekend, securing a first Munster Senior Hurling Final since 2008.

Two Shane O’Donnell goals set Clare off to an early lead but Limerick then netted 1-3 unanswered.

A strong second half performance led to Clare eventually emerging 3-17 to 2-16 winners at Semple Stadium.

The next challenge will be either Cork or Waterford in the final on July 9th.
