Busy Day Of Clare Club Hurling Action

It’s a busy afternoon of action in the Clare Senior Hurling championship with 6 games down for decision.

There are four games scheduled in Round 3 with quarter final places on offer for the winners, while the relegation playoffs will see two teams move one step closer to dropping out of the senior ranks.

In Round Three, there is a double header in Sixmilebridge, with the first game seeing 2014 senior champions Cratloe take on 2016 intermediate champions St Josephs.

Throw in there is at 1.30pm.

The second game in the double header is the meeting of Inagh/Kilnamona and Tulla with that one underrway at 3pm.

Champions Ballyea are also in action today as they take on O’Callaghans Mills for a place in the quarter finals.

The holders lost out to Sixmilebridge in the winners round a fortnight ago, and now face a must win battle if they’re to take another step towards retaining their title.

That one starts in Newmarket at 2.45pm.

There’s a 4pm start in Cusack Park as Whitegate take on Clooney Quin.

In the battle for survival in the top tier, Clarecastle and Crusheen square off at 4pm in Gurteen while at 6pm in Tulla, it’s Feakle up against Wolfe Tones.

There’s also plenty action in the Clare Intermediate Hurling championship today.

In Round Three, Ruan and Sixmilebridge clash in Newmarket at 4.15pm while it’s a 6pm start in Cusack Park for Corofin and Tubber

At 6.30pm in Clonlara, Smith O’Briens face Cratloe.
