Clare have reached a first Munster Minor Football Final since 1994.

They overcame Limerick by 3-13 to 0-12 to set up a July showdown against Kerry.

Paudie Kelly’s early goal put Clare 1-2 to 0-2 ahead but Limerick hit the next four in a row to go in front.

The Shannonsiders edged the rest of the opening period and led by 0-10 to 1-5 at the break.

Gavin Cooney got Clare’s second goal soon after the restart and from here, the Banner never looked back.

Diarmuid Ryan, Dermot Coughlan, Gearoid Cahill and Cooney all continued to keep the scoreboard ticking over, before Ross O’Dohertys late goal put the icing on the cake.

Clare now renew rivalries with Kerry in the Munster Final, in what will be the last ever provincial decider at the grade.
