Brennan Leaves Big Boots To Fill – Cleary

Clare’s new football Captain says he’s looking forward to the challenge the role will bring.

Colm Collins has chosen St Joseph’s Miltown clubman Eoin Cleary to fill the vacancy left by Clondegad’s Gary Brennan, who stepped back at the end of last year’s Championship.

Cleary has been a key member of Clare’s panel in recent years and was given the Captaincy for Clare’s McGrath cup encounter with Limerick in January – and was confirmed for the coming year on Sunday.
