Clare’s joint senior hurling manager believes the week off gave them their first chance this year to get in serious training.

They played five games in six weekends between the Munster and National Leagues leaving little time for rest.

The Banner meet Cork tomorrow looking for a second victory that would put them on verge of the quarter-finals.
