Clare’s man of the match from Sunday’s win over Limerick says a high level of work rate was crucial in putting Limerick under pressure.

Sixmilebridge’s Jamie Shanahan played a key role in the Banner’s win and landed a brilliant point from distance in the opening half.

He says the pressure the Banner’s front men applied gave them a great platform to work from.

Meanwhile Clonlara’s Colm Galvin says they responded well to the sending off of David Reidy.

The Eire Óg man was harshly dismissed on the half hour mark with the decision likely to appealed while hopes are high it will be overturned.

Galvin says they made better use of the extra space on the field.
