Club Clare has gained almost 1,000 members since its launch early last week.
The group is committed to raising funds for the Banner’s intercounty hurling and camogie teams from under 14 up to senior level, having obtained €400,000 for spending on the sides since 2017.
New members are being offered the chance for the favourite county player to come and train their local club, with 975 people signed up to the cause so far.
