In 2010 he was awarded a PhD for the Lived Lives Project, which emerged from an inter-disciplinary research platform with psychiatrist and scientist Prof. Kevin Malone, conducted within the School of Medicine, University College Dublin. By working closely with 42 suicide bereaved families and placing them within an art process, collectively they co-created, produced and curated private their stories of loss and pain into the public domain.
