Crime is rampant in rural parts of the country by all accounts and farmers are some of those who are worst hit.
As the nights continue to draw on and the threat of thefts and robberies from farms looms, the IFA and other farming groups have launched campaigns to highlight the dangers to farmers and encourage them to ensure their land is safe.
