Stateside View – Will Trump’s COVID Comments Hurt Re-Election Bid?

This week on Morning Focus we continued our Stateside View slot in which we look ahead to November’s U.S. Presidential Election.  Among the biggest U.S. political stories over the past week was the revelation that President Trump had admitted that he “downplayed” the coronavirus crisis.  He made the comments in March when speaking with journalist Bob Woodward, as part of a new book that is now being published in advance of November’s poll.

This weekend, at a rally, he insisted that he had “up-played” the cirus but will this controversy hurt the President as he looks to hold onto the White House?  Gavin spoke with conservative political pundit and Trump devotee Ed Farnan.
