Stateside View – Less than two weeks out from election day

It’s 13 days until the people of America go to the polls to elect the 46th president of the United States. President Donald Trump and his Democratic rival Joe Biden will have their final showdown on Thursday in the last presidential debate. However, the US Commission on Presidential Debates has said it will mute the microphones of both candidates to prevent either from speaking out of turn. In the last debate, in September, Mr Trump interrupted Mr Biden 71 times, compared to the former vice president’s interrupting Mr Trump 22 times. With Trump trailing behind in the polls, could this debate be make or break for both candidates?
