Service Boost for Pieta House in Ennis

Tuesday’s Morning Focus heard that the Pieta House counselling service for those affected by suicide and self-harm is set to expand its outreach services in Ennis.

From September, the service will be available in Ennis two days a week, for those who are unable to travel to Limerick for their free counselling sessions, or who want to access therapy closer to home.

Gavin spoke to Tom McEvoy of Pieta House and to Edel Browne of the Apple Blossom Thrift Shop in Ennistymon. Edel is organising a car-wash fundraiser in the town on Saturday (Aug 24, O’Keeffe’s Garage 11am-5pm) to support the work of Pieta House.

Appointments in the Clare centre can be booked by calling Pieta House’s free helpline on 1800 247 247.
