Quin Cancer Advocate Secures Meeting With Health Minister

John Wall, Cancer Advocate from Quin, has been voicing his concerns about the operation of the HSE’s medical card scheme.

John was diagnosed in 2017 with terminal prostate cancer, had his own card revoked after six months reviewed and then again after another two months. Leo Varadkar, in 2014 when he was Health Minister, announced that people with terminal illnesses would no longer have their medical cards reviewed. John secured a meeting with Health Minister Simon Harris and joined Gavin on air today to tell us how that went.
