Clare County Council has announced that the town mobility plan, which saw much of the town centre pedestrianised, is to be updated.

From Thursday, traffic will be rerouted away from the town centre between the hours of 11am and 6pm, Monday to Saturday, to facilitate social distancing.

Up to now the measures have been in place between 8am and 6pm, Monday to Saturday, but this has drawn criticism from many in the town including traders who staged a protest against the measures last week.
