Clare FM has won a major international award for news coverage.
The station's flagship Current Affairs Show, Morning Focus with John Cooke was honoured at the 2014 New York Radio Awards for an entry entitled "Life and Death on the Streets".
It featured Czech National Josef Pavelka who's story of homelessness and sleeping in a public toilet was covered extensively on Clare FM, along with local reaction to his subsequent death in a laneway in Ennis last May.
