De Valera Volume 1, Rise (1882-1932) is the new book penned by broadcaster and historian David McCullagh about Clare TD and influential figure Eamon De Valera. The first installment, to be followed by Rule (1932-1975) next year, details the life of De Valera, the beginnings of his political career during turbulent times in Ireland, the Easter Rising and the Civil War.
