Urgent Care Centre at UHL Considered Under New Proposals

A new ‘Urgent Care Centre’ at University Hospital Limerick is under consideration under a draft plan by a Mid-West integrated care steering group, in the hopes that it might alleviate overcrowding at the hospital.

HSE Midwest Community Healthcare, UL Hospitals Group, the National Ambulance Service and the Department of Public Health MidWest were involved in the consultations.

Kilmihil GP Dr Michael Harty spoke to Morning Focus about the proposed centre and also whether it’s likely that Clare will be the next locked-down county.
