In a meeting held last night at the Old Ground Hotel in Ennis, Clare publicans met TDs to put forward their calls for a strong rescue package and a set date on which they can reopen.
Members of the Clare branch of the Vintners Federation of Ireland attended the consultation in the hopes of getting answers on when, and under what circumstances, they can finally open their doors again.
Charlie O’Meara’s bar in Ennis is still closed. He is the former chair of the Clare branch of the VFI.
