Minister Heather Humphreys on Budget 2021, Covid and Shannon Airport

Minister for Social Protection, Community and Rural Development and the Islands, Heather Humphrey’s joined Gavin Grace on Thursdays’ Morning Focus to give her views on Budget 2021.

Despite the social welfare package being worth a total of €520 million with a wide range of measures, many still felt they were forgotten. But is that a fair assessment?

Minister Humphreys also spoke about her home county of Monaghan being one of three border counties moving to level 4 restrictions from midnight and addressed the blow that Ryanair closing it’s Shannon base for the winter will have on the region.
