Gardaí and the Local Authority join forces to tackle Covid-19

An Garda Síochána and Clare County Council have joined forces in a campaign to urge individuals, businesses and communities in the county to remain vigilant and continue to adhere to the restrictions in relation to Covid-19. It comes following the highest daily rise in cases in this county since May as 15 of the 429 cases yesterday were located in Clare. They’re warning that now is the moment for great care and caution as many two counties have already been upgraded to level three, and others are under review. Local Gardaí have confirmed that they will intervene if necessary to ensure compliance with the restrictions, while the local authority have committed to taking whatever steps necessary to suppress the virus and safeguard public health in the county.

On Thursday’s Morning Focus, Gavin Grace spoke to Clare’s Chief Superintendent Sean Colleran and CEO of Clare County Council, Pat Dowling.
