There are new developments afoot for the town of Ennistymon with new businesses opening up and plans drawn up aimed at easing traffic congestion at the dreaded Blake’s Corner.
Hoping to harness these opportunities, a ‘town team’ has come together and it’s holding an open meeting tomorrow night (Tue. April 10) at Ennistymon Community Centre.
The team is made up of 12 people willing to work voluntarily to improve the town.

The initiative came from the fact that Clare Local Development highlighted three towns including Ennistymon (Scarriff and Kilrush) which could benefit from a town team initiative.
